How the past few months with Virtual Reality got me to the Super Bowl!
So I am going to start off that it has been a goal of mine to be able to get to the Super Bowl for free because its a place where a weirdo punk rock dude who is trying his best to make it in the Bay Area and who loves Cats And VR is not necessarily supposed to make it into. Second, I will say making it into the Super Bowl has to be one of the most ridiculous fake it till you make moments of my life. For that I am dedicating this post to a good friend who believed in me and my skills. Josh Woodruff R.I.P.
So I started CatsAndVR.com last March as a response of not being able to make it into GDC from another blog I was working on. I channeled that anger and spent the next few months writing about VR and getting into events such as VRLA & E3
From my experience of working with CatsAndVR.com I was able to work for Radd3 on both the Biz Dev & the product side. I ended up working with Derek Carr and the company got noticed by Fox Sports.
While the dev team working on turning our VR training system into an arcade style VR game, I was in charge of doing demos for the Fox Sports Super Bowl city green room. Everyday I had to test builds, do demo, and try to get exposure for the Radd3 brand. I was able to get Katie Nolan to try it out and the product made it to air on her show Garbage Time. The Garbage Time production team is amazing, please support this show and incredible team behind it.

On Super Bowl sunday I got to demo VR to some awesome guests including Cooper Manning, 2 Chainz, Tom Hardy and some really cool kids.
The highlight for me however was meeting Cpl Sean Adams and his brother. They let me know about the Warrior Wishes program and I spent a few moments of the game having a conversation & rooting for Atlanta. I direct you all to learn more about how you can help Warrior Wishes. I hope I can put Derek Carr in touch with this program to help Bay Area Vets.
If I learned anything from the Super Bowl is that life is a journey that can get you to different places. Life is a journey to be respected and to be appreciated for every moment from Super Bowls to Dinner bowls.
Here is a great start to 2017 for everyone. The season has just started. GO RAIDERS!
