Mosh Pit Simulator gives me hope for VR game development and is the perfect VR game to make "My grandma's first VR experience" viral videos to.
Mosh Pit Simulator is a hyper-interactive physical VR sandbox set in a world overrun by boneless and brainless humanoids that despite having no brains, still try to lead normal life, even tho they don't know how. So they keep crashing cars, breaking things and being generally goofy. The player's job is to get in their way. Their generally harmless and don't mean anything wrong, but you just kind of don't like them.
This game was created by accident. The development began in April 2016, when Sos Sosowski got his hands on the Vive Development Kit back when there was hope for VR and the world.
The story is of a mad scientist who in an epiphany decided that bones are the bane of humanity and in an effort to get rid of all the bones in the world, he developperd a special toxin. But as he was mid way through his work,. the auto-correct kicked in correcting "bones" to "brains" anmd the world is effecticvely filled with boneless, brainless creatures that you need to fight off.
Additionally to the story, the game will feature a number of wacky and crazy game modes to enable users to fully experience all that the virtual world of the game has to offer.
The current version contains:
- A nearly 1 square kilometer interactive city ready for destruction
- A bunch of lifeless zombielike humanoids limping around seemingly aimlessly
- A story mode that tells the backstory of the game
- A tutorial
- Space mode
- Badass mode
- Some other stuff
